Michelle Burklow—Dental Assistant
Michelle became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1993. She “truly loves her career and seeing the difference dentistry makes in
the lives of dental patients.” Michelle wished to extend her duties as an assistant so she went through the training to become an
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. This has allowed her more hands on interaction with the patients, which she enjoys. Michelle
may be the one who places your filling! Michelle is married with two daughters and two stepsons and loves to spend time with her
family and friends.
Tana Henon Drake—Dental Assistant
Tana has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 1987. She has worked with
Dr. William Funk for 24 years. Together they practice general dentistry
while emphasizing cosmetics, full mouth reconstruction, and the treatment of
TMJ disorders. Tana takes a special interest in the cosmetic aspect of
dentistry and loves what she does. She and Dr. Funk, along with other staff
members, joined BGOHC in May 2009. Tana is married with two handsome boys.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, bike riding, and
exercising.
Debbie Gooch—Dental Assistant
Debbie has been in the field of dentistry since 1985 but joined Bluegrass Oral Health Center in June 2007. As an
expanded duties assistant, she has a strong background in orthodontics, but enjoys working within general dentistry. Seeing
peoples smiles change and happy with their dental work is what Debbie enjoys most about her job. “Sometimes dental work
can really impact a person’s outlook!” She is married with one son and her latest interest is jewelry making.
Melinda Porter—Dental Assistant
Melinda joined our team in April 2008. Compassionate and gentle, Melinda will make your dental visit a wonderful experience. Melinda attended WKU and majored in Sociology. She developed customer care expertise
managing a Sonic restaurant for many years, and her past experience in an orthodontic office makes her a valuable addition to our team.
Melinda completed the EDDA course in 2009, in which gives her the opportunity to spend even more time with the great patients. When
Melinda is not at the office, she loves spending time with her husband and son, attending
concerts, and going to Predators Hockey games.
Kelley Price—Dental Assistant
Kelley became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1993. She started her career
in pediatric dentistry with the late Dr. John Smith, where she worked for a
total of eight years. She joined Dr. Funk's office in April 2004 and along
with Dr. Funk and other staff members joined BGOHC in May 2009. Kelley is
part of our traveling staff to our Morgantown office to which she travels
twice a week. She is married with two children (a son and daughter). In
Kelley's spare time, she enjoys to travel and spend time with her family and
friends.
Holly Reaume—Dental Assistant
Holly joined BGOHC in 2004. She attended Western Kentucky University,
graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree and is currently
preparing to attend a University of Dentistry in the state of Kentucky.
Holly makes it her goal to ensure every patients experience in the office is
relaxing and enjoyable. When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys
traveling, attending concerts, movies, and reading. She is enjoying this
chapter of her life, but looks forward to what is to come.
Crystal Strautman—Dental Assistant
Crystal came to Bluegrass Oral Health Center after working for over two years on the Cardiovascular (Open Heart)
Surgical Team at Bowling Green Medical Center. A graduate of Bowling Green Technical College with an A.S. in Applied
Science, Crystal joined BGOHC in September 2007 for the opportunity to work in dentistry.
She loves to see how it builds a persons confidence when they are happy with their smile. She completed the EDDA course in
2009, in which gives her the opportunity to do more hands on treatment to fulfill patients expectations of their smile. Crystal is
married with two children and, when she is not at work, she loves spending time with her family, attending church at Hillvue Heights, enjoying movies, and swimming.
Katrinka Bewley—Treatment Coordinator
Katrinka, known as “Kat” to her friends and family, joined the office in January 2007. A
graduate of Bowling Green Vocational School in 1994 as a Certified Dental Assistant, she worked as an assistant for
twelve years in Scottsville, KY. Kat is our treatment coordinator and enjoys the opportunity to meet everyone
who visits the office. When she is not making friends behind the desk, Kat enjoys spending time with her husband,
whom she's been married to since 1985. They reside in Scottsville. Kat is proud of her two children and three
grandchildren. She cites the most life changing moment of her life was when her two of her grandchildren were
born one hour and twenty minutes apart despite being due one month apart. Life does come at you fast!
Veronica Railey—Office Receptionist
Veronica joined the staff in January 2010. She graduated
from Bowling Green Vocational school in 1993 as a Certified Dental Assistant
and worked at a dental office that specialized in oral surgery. Veronica is
married with two children; a daughter who is a nursing student at WKU, and a
son who is in the 8th grade at JEBMS in Scottsville. Her favorite past-time
hobby is playing with her Shih-tzu, Zoey and her Yorkie, Zack, and spending time
with her family.
Martha Smith—Practice Administrator
Martha has worked within the field of dentistry since 1980. Her experience in just about every position within a dental
office from expanded duties assistant to receptionist has made her more than qualified as our practice administrator. At Bluegrass Oral
Health Center, Martha will answer all your insurance and financial questions. She will work with you to find the best solution to any
concern you may have. In her spare time, Martha enjoys watching her daughter play softball for Georgetown College and being with her family.
Sherry Hall—Office Manager
Sherry has worked within the field of dentistry since 1975 in the same office and has felt privileged to work with several different
dentist throughout the years. Sherry started out as a Dental Assistant and over time became the Office Manager of BGOHC in Morgantown.
Sherry can answer all of your insurance questions, schedule appointments, and explain financial options. She loves to talk to people one on
one about their dental needs. She resides in Morgantown on a cattle farm with her husband and son. Sherry enjoys walking, playing golf, going
to football games, and spending time with family.
Deborah Alexander—Dental Hygienist
We are extremely excited to have Deb as our latest addition to the Bluegrass Oral Health Center team. Deb has been a
hygienist for over 14 years. Her experience will be a valuable asset. Deb knew she wanted to pursue a career in the health field,
after working in the office for the school of nursing. So with her children in school, she too went back to school. She graduated
in 1994 from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Dental Hygiene and until recently had practiced in the same office in
Glasgow, Kentucky. Deb truly loves dental hygiene and is passionate about taking care of her patient's needs.
She married her high school sweetheart and lives on the family farm in Glasgow. She is blessed with two fantastic children and is immensely enjoying the newest addition to the family, a grandson! When she is not helping patients, she can be found outdoors working in the yard and enjoying the fishpond she built. She also enjoys college basketball, reading, fishing, and spending time with her family.
June Brown—Dental Hygienist
June joined BGOHC in July 2009. She graduated from WKU and has 20 years of
experience as a Dental Hygienist. Her favorite part of practicing hygiene is
educating her patients. Everyone that knows great oral hygiene keep teeth
longer and it benefits them systemically as well. Her patients
maintaining good health is what's important to her! June and her husband
live in Franklin and have two children, who also are graduates of WKU. Away
from the office, June enjoys time with family, riding bikes, quilting, and
gardening.
Suzanne Lehring—Dental Hygienist
Suzanne has been a Dental Hygienist since 1984. She received her bachelors degree from the University of Louisville and has been
practicing in Bowling Green and Morgantown since 1986. In 2008 she was incorporated into the BGOHC family along with others at the
Morgantown office and enjoys being a part of their team. Suzanne and her husband, Doug, have two children, a son Kent and daughter
Micah. She enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at her family's farm.
Kasey Mizell—Dental Hygienist
Kasey is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and joined our team in July of 2009. She has a passion for dental hygiene and
strives to create a positive and relaxing experience while you're in her dental chair. Her goal is to educate and provide information
so you can improve your oral health. She looks forward to working with you to achieve the healthy smile you have always wanted.
Kasey married her husband, Lance, in June of 2009 and resides in Glasgow along with their three year-old Yorkinese, Serena. When not
practicing hygiene, she enjoys spending time with Lance, playing with Serena, and keeping her niece and nephew, Paisley and Zac. Her
interests include attending movies and concerts, UK basketball, shopping, exercising, and traveling.
Lisa Rennegarbe—Dental Hygienist
Lisa Rennegarbe holds an A.S. in Dental Hygiene and a B.S. in Biology from Western Kentucky University. For the past
twenty-four years BGOHC has benefited from Lisa’s expertise and dedicated focus to patient care. Her goal is to bring her
experience and knowledge together to make your dental visit comfortable and enjoyable. She is married with two wonderful sons.
